This is a spin on a Yin practice in which we settle in to a pose gradually with mindful movement, pulsation or body vinyasa before enjoying the stillness of a static hold.
The fluid movements leading in support a downshift in your autonomic nervous system and allow you to move tension through before you further dissolve it in the held pose.
They also heighten your awareness by synching breath with subtle movement and bring you more fully into the present moment.
You might like to have a block for today’s practice.
